Stunt Scooters For Kids

Older children can be quite difficult to buy for, often preferring to be on their phone or playing computer games. It’s important as parents to encourage sports and other activities to get kids moving.

It’s always good for the kids to choose something exciting that they will actually enjoy. So when my two asked to try stunt scooters out I was more than happy to oblige. They became interested after watching Skye Brown skateboarding at the Olympics. I know scooting is not skateboarding, but they had a great interest in trying out tricks on the scooters after watching the skateboarders!

Of course doing tricks on a stunt scooter is not easy to master. The kids have been watching various YouTube videos on easy beginner tricks. We headed to the skate park across from Stirling Castle to try out their stunt scooters and see if they could master some tricks.

Revolution Storm Stunt Scooter

The eldest is a tall 10 year old and chose the Revolution Storm stunt scooter. He quickly mastered small bunny hops on the scooter and spent a lot of time attempting to get up a steeper section of the skate park.

The Revolution Storm stunt scooter has lightweight hollowcore wheels and a signature super strength bar. It’s a strong and lightweight scooter, perfect for starting out with tricks at the skate park.

The scooter seems brilliant for my eldest to practice his tricks on. It’s certainly very solid and there’s no worries about it breaking, unlike his previous foldable non-stunt scooters. The Revolution Storm comes in a shiny colourful neochrome, with a grippy deck.

The scooter is partly assembled when it arrives, just needing to attach the handle and clamp it into the scooter. Very easy to do and get the kids started!

Invert TS2 V3 Prism Complete Stunt Scooter

The youngest is almost 8 years old and generally fairly fearless when it comes to sports. He spent quite a lot of time trying to spin and jump back on his scooter. He’s still quite slow at it, but the more practice he has the better he’ll get.

He also tried bunny hops onto a small curb at the skate park, which worked well. The higher he gets the easier it will be to progress onto other tricks.

The Invert TS2 V3 Complete Stunt Scooter looks very shiny in its neochrome and open wheels. The forks are made of durable steel and the scooter has colourful designs on the grip tape. Again it easily spins 360 degrees, although littlest is still practising this.

It was great to watch him trying to get up the steeper section of the skate park, not as easy for him as his brother. Bit he was certainly very pleased with himself when he got to the top on the scooter without running up the last part! It will be interesting to see how he progresses with this.
