In any case, even if the investment is the largest in the house, it is still a matter of budget. In other words, everyone invests their best money in the kitchen according to the budget they have. However, this doesn’t come cheap. Many renovations in the kitchen don’t come cheap at all, from drain unclogging using high pressure water hoses capable of slicing through semi-solid matter, to replacing all of the smart appliances as they are needed. Enhancing the kitchen is a good way to enhance the house but budget is a very big concern.
Apart from the expensive and prestigious materials from which it is built, all the mechanisms in the kitchen are electric, the technology controls and the kitchen is “smart” – for example, an island used as a table, but with the push of a button a side counter opens and also reveals a hidden sink. There may be a removable steam collector at the touch of a button, removable plasma screens, drawers that open by touch and much more! The kitchen includes of course the most advanced appliances, faucets etc. An advanced kitchen is going to be a huge advantage.
First stage – planning
This is the most important step – design the kitchen so that it is functional for you personally, but always also consider the dimensions of the kitchen room. Do not force an island into a small kitchen because it will become a nightmare, if the whole family is in the kitchen; If you are short, the top kitchen cabinets should be lower than usual. Will all electrical appliances be hidden, or do you prefer the dishwasher and oven to be exposed? Lighting is very important. Beyond bright and strong lighting in the kitchen, you may want to add LED lighting under the top cabinets to increase the lighting in favour of the kitchen work. Do you eat in the kitchen or in the dining area? If you eat in the kitchen, you should think about a counter (high or low), or an island that can also be used as a table. Electrical points, plumbing, gas – by location of appliances, sink, water bar, stove, etc. Do not hesitate to add another power point or two in places where you will use a toaster, mixer, etc, and maybe even a TV screen. You may not be able to include everything you want in your kitchen, because the budget will not allow you to do so, so check in advance.
Whether you are buying a kitchen from a private carpenter, or in an upscale kitchen chain, or at Home Centre, or at IKEA, make sure you have an accurate sketch of the new kitchen prepared for you. The price of course will vary on the work you want done. Therefore the price of a kitchen depends mainly on the scope of investment in the two above components. The scope of the investment itself depends on the quality of materials, kitchen area (15 meters running cabinets will probably exceed 10 meters).
