Molly Maybe is the newest heroine on the block.
This new book series by Kristina Stephenson is ideal for encouraging little adventurers. Molly and her doggy companion, Waggy Burns, use Molly’s amazing mundervator machine to travel to an incredible monster world.
There is a crisis in the monster world and only Molly and Waggy Burns can help solve it.
They travel to the monster world on the mundervator and meet the Dappity Doofer to solve the mystery of the missing Mydol Idol.
It turns out that the missing Mydol Idol is being used as an ornament on Molly’s neighbours lawn, so they must devise a plan to get it back.
Of course they get it back to the monster world just in time, leaving a ‘something special’ as a replacement on the lawn.
The boys enjoy the book, but it’s definitely much more suited for my eldest age (4 years old) and over. I especially love that it has a non stereotypical female lead character, which makes a change from all the fairy books aimed at girls.

Ha ha, yes ours chewed all the board books to shreds, my 20 month old is ok with paperback now though, but flaps on board books are ripped off! 🙂 x

It’s quite refreshing, I don’t remember there being half the amount of fairy and princess books about when I was little, but nowadays it’s hard to find one that isn’t! 🙂 x
