We’re a rather outdoorsy family, often out with the boys on bike rides and walks in all sorts of terrain. It’s important to us to have the correct footwear, particularly when little ones depend on you to look after them without sliding around in the mud.
With all the sun we’ve had up here in Scotland we’ve had the chance to get out more often and even a few after dinner adventures around our local area.
My husband’s walking boots were pretty much falling apart and so he was glad to be asked to review a new pair from Hi-Tec. The V-Lite Helvellyn men’s walking boots are very comfortable and made with a leather upper and rugged rubber Vibram sole.
We recently went for a family hill walk up our local hill, Dumyat, and of course my husband had to wear his shiny new boots. It wasn’t long until they were a bit scuffed from scrambling over rocks and muddy from peat bogs, but they were still comfortable and waterproof.
On our camping trip last weekend the boots were worn constantly, from playing on the beach, climbing over rocks and even getting a little wet in the sea water. They remained waterproof throughout and comfy to wear.
They even had a trip over to Staffa on the boat, clambering over the hexagonal rocks and gripping onto the slippy ground toward the Puffin colony.
We would definitely recommend Hi-Tec for good quality boots, that are comfy, waterproof and appear to be built to last.
