The boys were given a Trunki suitcase each for going on holiday last year and since then we have loved the brand. The case’s were great for putting a surprising amount of kids paraphernalia in and perfect for pulling them across the airport to get to the gates quickly.
When Trunki contacted me to review their PaddlePak‘s I was very excited as I know their products are amazing quality and they really do pay attention to detail.
The boy’s each chose a PaddlePak that they liked each, Mr A chose Spike the Blowfish and Mr O chose Inky the Octopus, but unfortunately that was out of stock so he received Pinch the Lobster instead. After an initial upset that it wasn’t the one he wanted he soon had fun packing his PaddlePak up and racing around the house with his brother in tow.
The PaddlePak’s are made from water resistant material, which is excellent for keeping wet things in or for keeping the wet out. We took ours to the local swimming pool for a well needed afternoon swimming, or rather splashing.
The boys each packed their own bags with their swim things, which was relatively easy for them as the bags can open wide for easy stuffing. The PaddlePak’s close with a rolltop and breakaway buckle, which keeps water out. We managed to fit a medium sized towel, swim costume and nappy/arm bands with plenty of room to spare for other items, they really do have a large capacity.
We also noticed that both bags had a tiny pocket in the tail, which is the perfect size for a small snack, toy or beach finds. I put in a couple of little sea creatures in the boys PaddlePak’s, but I could easily see them being filled with prized stones and shells from the beach on our next visit.
The shoulder straps adjust well to fit both boys (they are 2 and 4, and both had medium size bags). I did wonder what the little tag at the side of the strap was for, but have since found out it’s a special grip to hold sunglasses or goggles safe. I told you that Trunki always considered all the little details!
They hadn’t been to this pool for a long time, so they were actually standing still taking it all in (and allowing me a sneaky chance to photograph them)!
Both boys found them comfy and enjoy wearing them, plus the bags look extra cute on. I love that there are so many different designs, I’m sure every child would find at least one they would like.
Medium size PaddlePaks are currently £19.99 on Trunki’s website and the large size is currently £24.99.
Which PaddlePak would your child choose?
