Earlier in the year I had never even heard of Smiggle, but when a shop opened up in Edinburgh and another in Stirling, we soon found out the delights of their colourful stationery.
What I particularly love is that there are ranges for those who like pink and purple as well as those children (and adults!) who love monsters or insects. They really have designs for everybody!
We were sent several items to find out more about the quality and designs of Smiggle items, including an electric pencil sharpener, pencil case with goodies inside, rainbow heart diary and rocket light.
The electric sharpener is a perfect gift for any little writer or artist who wear down so many pencils when working on their creative projects. With two holes for different sized pencils and an easy opening front to empty it, all you need is 4 AA batteries and you can get started!
The A5 pencil case is filled with lots of goodies and perfect for any school aged child who loves stationery. It includes the A5 pencil case (available in a variety of designs), notebook, ruler, pencil, pencil sharpener and 4 scented highlighters. I would tell you what the highlighters smell like, but my sense of smell is rubbish and I would probably only be able to tell you that they smell great!
Smiggle has a huge variety of diaries in every colour and loads of designs, I particularly love this furry rainbow heart (I can’t resist a rainbow!) and it even has a little lock on the side for keeping all your notes and pictures secret. I have so many memories of my own diary writing as a child and I found it a great way to get any worries out my head and the lock was always useful so that nobody else could read it.
Finally, what else do kids like at Christmas if not something glittery and colourful? The rocket light has a great glittery quality when you shake it, but when you turn on the lamp the light changes different colours to inspire creativity and help you relax too.
So if you are looking for a great stocking filler this week I would definitely recommend heading down to your closest Smiggle to find a few items for kids stockings.

These look fab. I’d never heard of Smiggle until recently when Stevie opened the store in Cornwall. I’d like to have a look around, it looks like just my sort of thing, love stationery!
