Most workplaces in the UK have some sort of office holiday decoration, whether it be a tree or a little tinsel. But do you want to create a little extra holiday decoration for your own little space in the office? Would you buy something for the desk that would look so much nicer at home? I personally think it would be better to make a little office decoration using the supplies you have at hand rather than bring in a pretty decoration from home.
Using a few common office items you can create this lovely holly wreath to decorate your wall or notice board above your work space.
You will need:
String
Scissors
Pencil/pen
Stapler or tape or glue
1. Cut out several holly wreath shapes from the green dividers. I managed to cut three out per divider.
2. Overlap 2 holly leaves slightly and using the pen or pencil poke two holes through where the leaves overlap.
3. Cut a short length of string and thread through the holes tying it off, so the two leaves are securely attached together.
3. Repeat this in a circle shape until the leaves are all joined together in a wreath.
4. Using a contrasting colour cut out shapes for the bow, similar to the picture. You will need the wobbly shape for the bow itself, the thin strip to go round the middle and the two matching pieces are the ribbon ends.
5. Assemble the bow by attaching the two ends of the main wobbly piece together (can staple/glue/tape this) and pushing the middle down. Then wrap the thin band round the middle and secure at the back. Attach to the top of the wreath and stick the two ribbon ends underneath the bow.
6. Cut out little circles of the dark pink divider and stick onto the wreath as berries.
7. Hang above your work area!

My office (aka…craft room) is currently decorated with a tonne load of glitter (on the floor), some playdough (again, on the floor) and some form of greenery which came off last years Christmas wreath!! Maybe one day I’ll be able to do nice paper crafts without mess!

This is a great way to make a wreath – a small one would look really cute on a card too. I’m going into school to make Christmas Crafts with the kids next week so might borrow this idea!
