The last few days we’ve had lovely sunny spring mornings and then the rain starts at lunch time. Or, as Tuesday, the hail starts! There was me thinking we were finally getting into spring!
We’ve made the most of the mornings by getting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Either in our garden or at the park, seems a waste of the nice weather (and money) for us to go to soft play or a similar indoor activity when the boys are happy running around outdoors.
I’ve just recently started to let A run around at the park on his own, now he has shoes he can have a good explore with a little less falling over obstacles. I’ve also just bought him wellies as his shoes were caked in mud the other day after a visit to our local farm park, but he hasn’t got the hang of how to stand up in wellies after falling over yet.
In the garden the boys are happy playing with vehicles, the wheelbarrow or climbing the climbing frame. A loves slides and at 14 months he can now climb halfway up, cross over to the slide and come down backwards. This keeps them occupied while I try and sort out the garden. I’ve raked over our veg patch and trimmed back some of our fruit plants. Can’t wait to get the veg growing again!
Have you been getting outside where you are?
