This is week we’ve been having fun with bubble painting! I remember doing this when I was wee. I didn’t have a recipe, but mixed approximately 1 third paint, 1 third washing up liquid and 1 third water and stirred well.
O is 3 and I had to remind him to take the straw out of his mouth to breathe, as although he managed to blow lots of bubbles easily a couple of times he tried to take a breath with the straw still in his mouth and got a mouthful of the mixture! So definitely warn them if they’re still little.
We found that you had to really blow lots of overflowing bubbles and then place the paper on top, let it sink down to take the print of bubble mixture.
We found that darker colours worked better, the red was the best at taking the bubble print. But the process itself was the fun bit!
Have you tried bubble painting?
